About

Summary of the Autoimmune Diseases Series. To gain expertise in treating autoimmune disease, it is essential to integrate both Western and Asian paradigms. My 40+ years of patient experience with both clinical primary care practice and the 25 years of mentorship with Dr. Miki Shima have taught me the clinical skills necessary to bridge the East and West. The diseases of Ulcerative Colitis, Thyroid Disease, MS and Lupus will be presented in this Autoimmune Series from the unique perspective of the Western Innate and Adaptive changes in autoimmunity; but combined with effective acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas that are effective in supportive treatments for these conditions. An Explanation of the Eight Extra Vessels and their unique pulses and the Channel Divergents will offer the skills for affecting Yuan Qi and balancing the Zang/Fu organs, and their role in treating complex diseases. This seminar series is 4 hrs and is in lecture format with an in-depth PowerPoint with 4 CEU hours available for NCCAOM credit. This is a self-paced program, however, 10 weeks are allotted to complete for credits. A final exam and course evaluation will conclude the program. Certificate of completion will be issued upon a score of 70% or higher. Please email Dr. Levy with any questions.
